The so called “Cranio-Sacral-System” leads from the skull (Latin - Cranium) via the spine to the sacrum. The fluid of the brain, called Liquor, nourishes and cleanses the brain and the spinal cord within the lining of the brain. Specific areas of the brain discharge and reabsorb liquor and facilitate a constant increase and decrease of the brain's fluids in the Cranio-Sacral-Rhythm, with a frequency of six to twelve times per minute.
Cranio-Sacral Bodywork is a non-invasive, scientifically based and holistic method, which is designed to bring the Cranio-Sacral-Rhythm back into its natural balance. This very delicate and individual rhythm transfers itself onto bones, organs, soft tissue and nerves.
